Biography
Virginia Jencks was an American actress. She appeared as Ruth Barnes in the 1954 film Salt of the Earth, directed by Herbert J. Biberman, in which many roles were played by non-professional actors including members of a New Mexico mining community and their families.
She was married to Clinton Jencks, who played her on-screen husband Frank Barnes in the same film. Jencks later appeared as herself in the 1982 documentary A Crime to Fit the Punishment.
