Biography
Vittorio Mezzogiorno (1941–1994) was an Italian actor. He began his career in the theatre, joining the company of Eduardo De Filippo in the mid-1960s and later working with other Italian troupes.
Mezzogiorno appeared in films including Café Express (1980), Three Brothers (1981) as Rocco Giuranna and the young Donato, and The Moon in the Gutter (1983). He played Arjuna in Peter Brook's stage production of The Mahabharata and its 1989 film adaptation, and portrayed Commissioner Davide Licata in the television series The Octopus (1984 onwards). He received Nastro d'Argento awards for Il Giocattolo (1979) and Three Brothers.
