Biography
Vivian Nathan, also credited as Vivian Firko, was an American actress and a founding member of the Actors Studio, which opened in 1947. She served on its board of directors until 1999. She made her Broadway debut in the 1949 production of Montserrat and appeared in the original productions of The Rose Tattoo (1951) and Camino Real (1953).
Her film credits include Teacher's Pet (1958), The Young Savages (1961) and Klute (1971), in which she played a psychiatrist. She also appeared in television series including Kojak (1976) and The Equalizer (1989). Nathan received the Clarence Derwent Award in 1955 for her stage performance in Anastasia. She died in 2015.
