Biography
Vladimir Chukhnov was a Soviet cinematographer. He is credited, alongside Pavel Lebeshev, with the cinematography of Larisa Shepitko’s The Ascent (1977), also known as Voskhozhdeniye.
Chukhnov died in July 1979 in a car accident that also killed Shepitko and other crew members while they were scouting locations for her next film.
