Biography
Vladislav Dvorzhetsky was a Soviet film actor. Born on 26 April 1939 in Omsk, he trained at the Omsk actors' school after earlier military medical service and joined the Omsk provincial dramatic theatre upon graduation in 1967.
He made his screen debut as General Khludov in The Flight (1970) and appeared in eighteen films between 1970 and 1978. His roles included Henri Berton in Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris (1972), Alexander Ilyin in The Land of Sannikov (1973), and the title character in the adventure series Captain Nemo (1975). In 1974 he received the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR for his performance in To the Last Minute.
Dvorzhetsky died on 28 May 1978 in Gomel from acute heart failure.
