Biography
Walter Cameron (1872–1942) was an American actor and cinematographer. He appeared in numerous early films from the turn of the century, including work with the Edison Company, American Biograph, Vitagraph and Thanhouser. He is credited as the Sheriff (uncredited) in The Great Train Robbery (1903).
Cameron later operated the Ben Hur Stables in Culver City, California, supplying horses and livestock for motion pictures. He had previously served as a U.S. Deputy Marshal in the Oklahoma Indian Territory and as a ranchman.
