Biography
Walter Werzowa is an Austrian composer and music producer. He was born on 15 December 1960 in Vienna, where he studied classical guitar and electronic music at the Vienna Musik Hochschule. After early success with the band Edelweiss, he moved to the United States and studied film music at the University of Southern California.
Werzowa is best known for composing the Intel "bong" jingle and scoring films including Eraser (1996), Drive (1997), Hellraiser: Inferno (2000), Cherry Falls (2000), Mimic 2 (2001) and Taking Lives (2004). He contributed music to Minority Report (2002) and has worked on television projects such as Tales from the Crypt and NOVA. He founded the LA-based studio Musikvergnuegen and later returned to Vienna, where he teaches film music.
Werzowa has also composed for documentaries including The Devil and Daniel Johnston (2005) and collaborated on AI-assisted music projects such as a completion of Beethoven’s Tenth Symphony.
