Biography
Wan Pin-Chu, also credited as 朱芸編 or Yunbian Zhu, is a Hong Kong composer and erhu performer. He studied Western musicology and composition at King's College London, followed by a master's degree in film music and production at the Royal College of Music in London on a full scholarship.
He began scoring feature films in 2017 with Immortal Demon Slayer (also known as Wukong). His credits include Ne Zha (2019), Jade Dynasty (2019), The Last Dance (2024) and Ne Zha 2 (2025). He has also contributed erhu performances to films such as Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019).
In 2025 he received the Best Original Film Score awards at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards and the 18th Asian Film Awards for The Last Dance.
