Biography
Wayne Powers is an American screenwriter, producer and director. He wrote the screenplay for the 2003 remake of The Italian Job with Donna Powers. His other feature credits include the screenplay for Deep Blue Sea (1999) and Valentine (2001).
Powers graduated from the USC School of Cinema-Television in 1983. He began writing for network television in his early twenties and later contributed to series including The Equalizer. He has also written and produced the Showtime limited series Out of Order (2003) and directed independent features such as Loves Me, Loves Me Not (2019). He is credited as a creator of characters for the sequels Deep Blue Sea 2 (2018) and Deep Blue Sea 3 (2020).
