Biography
Wendy Dickson is an Australian production designer and costume designer. She began her career in theatre, working as a resident designer with the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust from 1959 to 1967 and designing costumes for productions including the opening of the Sydney Opera House Drama Theatre in 1973. Her first film credit as production designer was the 1968 television movie The World of the Seekers.
She is known for her work on the films Break of Day (1976), The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith (1978), Bliss (1985) and Evil Angels (1988). She also designed costumes for Antony and Cleopatra (1972) and worked on the television series Luke's Kingdom (1976). Dickson was married to film director Ken Hannam from 1968 until their divorce in the mid-1980s. She died in 2024.
