Biography
Werner Bruhns (1928–1977) was a German actor and voice actor. Born in Hamburg, he attended the Christianeum in Hamburg-Altona and received acting training from Helmuth Gmelin between 1946 and 1948. He made his stage debut in 1946 at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg.
Bruhns appeared in numerous German television productions, including episodes of Tatort and Derrick, and had roles in films such as Der Stern von Afrika (1957), Wenn süß das Mondlicht auf den Hügeln schläft (1969), The Odessa File (1974) as Hoffmann, and Bernardo Bertolucci’s 1900 (1976) as Ottavio Berlinghieri. He also worked extensively in dubbing. He was married to journalist Wibke Bruhns.
