Biography
Wiesława Kosmalska, also credited as Wiesława Kosmalska-Maklakiewicz, is a Polish actress. She graduated from the acting department of the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź in 1959 and made her stage debut the previous year at the Powszechny Theatre in Łódź.
She performed in theatres including Wybrzeże in Gdańsk, Polski in Wrocław and Warsaw, and the Witold Gombrowicz Municipal Theatre in Gdynia, where she was a member from 1974 to 1991. Kosmalska appeared in several Polish films and television series, most notably as Wiesława Hulewicz in Andrzej Wajda’s Man of Iron (1981).
