Biography
Willi Burger was a German actor and blacksmith from Nannhausen in the Hunsrück region. He appeared as Mathias Simon in the 1984 television series Heimat: A Chronicle of Germany, directed by Edgar Reitz.
A local amateur performer, Burger initially declined speaking scenes in the production. He died of cancer in December 1981 during filming of episode six.
