Biography
Bill Nolan (born William Charles Nolan) was an American animator, director, writer and film editor. He began his career as a newspaper cartoonist in 1913 and later worked in animation studios including those of Raoul Barré and Pat Sullivan.
Nolan edited the 1924 silent fantasy The Thief of Bagdad. He contributed to the development of the rubber-hose animation style, worked on Felix the Cat cartoons, directed Krazy Kat shorts and animated on the feature Gulliver's Travels (1939). He also directed and wrote numerous shorts for Walter Lantz Productions.
