Biography
William T. Orr (1917–2002) was an American actor and television producer. He began his career as an actor in the late 1930s and appeared in films including The Mortal Storm (1940), in which he played Erich Von Rohn.
Orr later moved into production. As the first head of Warner Bros. Television, he oversaw the studio’s early prime-time output for ABC, including Cheyenne (1955), Maverick (1957), 77 Sunset Strip (1958) and F Troop (1965). He also produced the feature film Sex and the Single Girl (1964).
Orr received a Golden Boot Award for his contributions to western television. He died in Los Angeles on 25 December 2002.
