Biography
Wilson Yip Wai-shun is a Hong Kong filmmaker, screenwriter and actor. He began working in the film industry in the 1980s as a production assistant and later as an assistant director before making his directorial debut with the 1995 horror anthology 01:00 A.M..
Yip is best known for directing Bio Zombie (1998), SPL: Sha Po Lang (2005), Flash Point (2007) and the Ip Man series (2008–2019). He has also produced films including Limbo (2021) and Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In (2024). He received a Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award for best screenplay for Bullets Over Summer (1999).
