Biography
Xavi Giménez is a Spanish cinematographer born in Barcelona in 1970. He began working in film as a camera operator and assistant before moving to features in the late 1990s.
He is known for his work on The Machinist (2004), Transsiberian (2008) and Agora (2009), the last of which earned him the Goya Award for Best Cinematography. Giménez has frequently collaborated with directors including Brad Anderson, Alejandro Amenábar and Jaume Balagueró, and has also directed feature films.
