Biography
Yana Bille-Chung is a writer, director and producer. She is credited as staff writer on seven episodes and writer of one episode of the Netflix animated series Blue Eye Samurai (2023).
A Cameroonian-American filmmaker originally from Yaoundé, Cameroon, Bille-Chung graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. She previously worked as an assistant to showrunner Michael Green on series including American Gods (2017) and Y: The Last Man (2021), and on the film The Call of the Wild (2020). She has written and directed several short films, including Waters (2009) and Till Death (2026).
Bille-Chung is an associate of the Investigative Reporting Project at UC Berkeley’s School of Journalism (2018) and a 2023 Peace Studio fellow.
