Biography
Yang-Hua Hu (also credited as Yang Hua Hu or 胡仰華) is a Taiwanese film editor based in Los Angeles. He studied directing at the Taipei National University of the Arts before moving to the United States in 2010, where he earned an MFA in film and television production from the University of Southern California. He began his career in Hollywood as an assistant editor and has worked across features, television and shorts.
Hu edited Mass (2021), which premiered at Sundance and received the Robert Altman Award at the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards. His other feature credits include The Public (2018), Uncanny Annie (2019), My Valentine (2020), The Accidental Getaway Driver (2023) and All That We Love (2024). He was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2025.
