Biography
Yanic Truesdale is a Canadian-American actor. Born and raised in Montreal, he trained at the National Theatre School of Canada, graduating at the age of 20, and later studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York.
Truesdale began his career in Canadian television, with early roles in series such as He Shoots, He Scores and a six-year run on Les héritiers Duval. He received Gemini Award nominations for performances in Majeurs et vaccinés and Mauvais Karma. He is best known for portraying Michel Gerard in Gilmore Girls (2000–2007) and its 2016 revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Subsequent credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Salinger Year (2020), God's Favorite Idiot (2022) and Étoile (2025).
