Biography
Yevgeni Svidetelev (also credited as Evgeniy Svidetelev or Е. Свидетелев) was a Soviet production designer. He worked on Mikhail Kalatozov's The Cranes Are Flying (1957) and I Am Cuba (1964), as well as other films including The Wind (1959) and A Woman's Kingdom (1968). He also contributed special effects to The Sword and the Dragon (1956).
Svidetelev was born on 7 February 1921 and died on 5 August 1971. He is credited on films from the late 1940s onwards, often under variant spellings of his name.
