Biography
Yoshiko Tanaka (1956–2011) was a Japanese actress and singer. She first gained prominence as a member of the pop group Candies, known by the nickname "Sue", before the group disbanded in 1978. She subsequently pursued an acting career, appearing in films and television series.
Her film roles include Asuka Okouchi in Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) and Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992), Yasuko in Black Rain (1989), for which she won the Hochi Film Award for Best Actress, and Akiko Miyaji in Ring 0 (2000). On television she appeared in Oshin (1983) as Hatsuko. She was married to businessman Kazuo Odate from 1991 and was the sister-in-law of actress Masako Natsume.
