Biography
Yoshio Yoshida was a Japanese actor. Born in Kyoto on 3 January 1911, he appeared in over two hundred film and television roles across several decades.
He is known for parts in kaiju and period films, including Gohei, a fisherman, in Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971), the Eskimo Chief in Gamera, the Giant Monster (1965), Boss Tomegoro of Kagotame in Zatoichi on the Road (1963), a teacher in Battles Without Honour and Humanity: Police Tactics (1974), and a role in Zatoichi Goes to the Fire Festival (1970). Yoshida died on 22 December 1986.
