Biography
Youssef Guezoum is a film composer, orchestrator, conductor and sound designer. He was born in 1975 in Marrakech, Morocco, and is of Moroccan descent. He studied sound engineering at Vancouver Film School in Canada and classical music at the Académie de Musique de Jette in Brussels, Belgium, before moving to Los Angeles in 2013.
Guezoum has composed for feature films including Chronicle (2012), Daylight (2013) and Full Love (2014, directed by Jean-Claude Van Damme), as well as the Power Rangers franchise for Saban Entertainment and various Middle Eastern television series. He has also contributed additional music and trailer scores for major studios. He is an ICM Award winner, a two-time Hollywood Music in Media Award nominee, and a voting member of the Television Academy, the Recording Academy and the Society of Composers & Lyricists.
