Biography
Øystein Martinsen is a Norwegian actor. He was born on 14 May 1976 in Tromsø and trained at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts from 2001, graduating in 2004. He then joined Rogaland Teater as a permanent member.
Martinsen has appeared in more than forty theatre productions. In 2012 he received a Hedda Award nomination for best supporting actor for his role as Philinte in Misantropen at Rogaland Teater. He is the brother of electronic musician Per Martinsen.
On screen he is known for the role of Kark in the series Norsemen (2016–2020), Prime Minister Aide in the film 22 July (2018), David in the film The Tunnel (2019), and Peter in the film Next Door (2005).
