Biography
Yulin Kuang is a screenwriter and director. Born in Guangzhou, China, she grew up in Wichita, Kansas, New Jersey and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012 with degrees in creative writing and film.
She is known for her screenplay for the 2026 film People We Meet on Vacation, and for directing episodes of The Healing Powers of Dude (2020) and Dollface (2019–2022). Kuang created the web series I Ship It and has also written and directed other short-form and television projects. She is the author of the 2024 novel How to End a Love Story and is adapting and directing the film Beach Read.
