Biography
Yūsuke Iseya is a Japanese actor, director, artist and businessman. Born on 29 May 1976 in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, he graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts.
He made his screen debut in Hirokazu Kore-eda's After Life (1998) and went on to appear in films including Casshern (2004), Tekkonkinkreet (2006), Sukiyaki Western Django (2007), Blindness (2008), 13 Assassins (2010) and the Rurouni Kenshin series (2014–2021). Iseya made his directorial debut with Kakuto (2003) and has also directed Fish on Land (2011). He is the half-brother of fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto.
