Biography
Yves Saint Laurent (born Yves Henri Donat Mathieu Saint-Laurent) was a French fashion designer who also created costumes for films. He founded his eponymous fashion label in 1961.
His film work includes costume design for Belle de Jour (1967), The Pink Panther (1963), Arabesque (1966), Mississippi Mermaid (1969), Un Flic (1972), The Inheritor (1973), Conversation Piece (1974), Stavisky... (1974), Providence (1977) and Subway (1985). He was born on 1 August 1936 in Oran, Algeria, and died on 1 June 2008.
