Biography
Yvette Etiévant (also credited as Yvette Etievent) was a French actress. She appeared in supporting roles in numerous French films and television productions from the mid-1940s to the 1990s.
Born in Paris in 1922, she was the daughter of actor and director Henri Étiévant. She began her career in the theatre, notably creating the role in Jean Genet's Les Bonnes at the Théâtre de l'Athénée under Louis Jouvet. Her film credits include Les Dames du bois de Boulogne (1945), Diary of a Country Priest (1951) as the femme de ménage, Eyes Without a Face (1960), War of the Buttons (1962) as Lebrac's mother, Je t'aime, je t'aime (1968), and State of Siege (1972). She also had a prominent television role in the series L'Homme du Picardie (1968–1969).
