Biography
Zahava Solomon is an Israeli psychologist and researcher specialising in psychiatric epidemiology, mental health and social work, with a focus on the effects of combat trauma. She is professor emerita at the Bob Shapell School of Social Work at Tel Aviv University.
Solomon appeared as herself, providing expert commentary on psychological trauma and dissociation, in the 2008 animated documentary film Waltz with Bashir, directed by Ari Folman. The film draws on her professional analysis of veterans' experiences during the 1982 Lebanon War.
