Biography
A. J. Cook is a Canadian actress. She is best known for playing Supervisory Special Agent Jennifer "JJ" Jareau in the CBS series Criminal Minds (2005–2020, 2022–), in which she also directed episodes.
Cook was born in Oshawa, Ontario, and grew up in nearby Whitby. She began her career with a role in the 1997 television series Goosebumps before appearing as Mary Lisbon in The Virgin Suicides (1999). Subsequent film roles include Out Cold (2001) and Final Destination 2 (2003). She has also appeared in Tru Calling (2003–2004) and 9-1-1 (2018).
