Biography
Aaron Hilmer is a German-Australian actor born on 11 May 1999 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. He grew up in Hamburg and began acting as a child after auditioning for a musical role around the age of eleven. He later took acting, singing and dance classes in Hamburg while still at school.
Hilmer is known for his role as Albert Kropp in the 2022 film All Quiet on the Western Front. He played the lead role of Cyril in the 2018 teen comedy The Most Beautiful Girl in the World and has appeared in series including Sløborn (2020–2024) and Luden (2023). Earlier credits include recurring roles in Die Pfefferkörner (2013–2014) and guest appearances in Tatort.
For his performance in The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Hilmer received the Saarland Radio Prize for Best Young Actor at the Günter Rohrbach Film Prize and other young actor awards.
