Biography
Aaron Ruell, also credited as Derek Aaron Ruell, is an American actor, director and photographer. He was born on 23 June 1976 in Fresno, California, and raised in nearby Clovis. He studied film at Brigham Young University.
Ruell is best known for playing Kipland "Kip" Dynamite in the film Napoleon Dynamite (2004). He has also acted in Think Tank (2006), On the Road with Judas (2007) and the animated television series Napoleon Dynamite (2012). As a director, he wrote and directed the short films Everything's Gone Green and Mary, both of which premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. He directs commercials and works as a photographer.
