Biography
Aaron Springer (born 5 September 1973) is an American cartoonist, animator, writer, director and storyboard artist. He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts and began his career at Spümcø before joining the production of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants.
He contributed to SpongeBob SquarePants as a writer, storyboard artist and storyboard director across its first eight seasons (1999–2012), and worked on its 2004 feature film. Springer directed several episodes of the first season of Gravity Falls (2012). He created the Disney XD series Billy Dilley’s Super-Duper Subterranean Summer (2017), in which he also voiced the title character, and has worked on series including Wander Over Yonder, Mickey Mouse and Looney Tunes Cartoons.
