Biography
Abubakr Ali is an Egyptian-born American actor. He was born in Cairo on 20 June 1991 and raised in Pasadena, California, after moving to the United States in 2000. He trained at the Yale School of Drama.
Ali is known for his role as Khal in the 2022 film Anything's Possible and as Officer Samir Bashir in Law & Order: Organized Crime (2024). Other television credits include Power Book II: Ghost (2020–2023), The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2021), Katy Keene (2020) and Little Voice (2020). Film roles include Lieutenant Dan Buck in A House of Dynamite (2025) and Hatty in Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother (2026). He has also appeared in the Netflix series Grendel.
