Biography
Ada May, also credited as Ada May Weeks, was an American actress and dancer. Born Ada May Weeks on 8 March 1896 in Oyster Bay, New York, she began her career as a child dancer and appeared in numerous Broadway musicals from the mid-1910s onward, including Miss Springtime (1916), Listen, Lester (1918–1919), The O'Brien Girl (1921–1922), Lollipop (1924) and Rio Rita (1927–1928).
Her film roles included The Dancing Town (1928), Dance, Girl, Dance (1933) and Monsieur Verdoux (1947), in which she played Annette, Annabella's maid. She also appeared on television in an episode of Fireside Theatre (1950). She was married to Wilson Potter and later to Mario Castegnaro, and died on 25 April 1978 in New York City.
