Biography
Adam Ali (born 1999) is a British actor and filmmaker. Born in Libya, Ali fled the civil war as a child and, after periods in Canada and Italy, settled in Manchester. They trained at the Television Workshop in Salford.
Ali made their screen debut as Zain in the Apple TV+ anthology series Little America (2020), earning an Independent Spirit Award nomination. They starred as Kamal in the feature film Europa (2021) and wrote, directed and appeared in the short film Baba (2021), which won two Iris Prizes. On television they have played Kai Sharif in the BBC series Waterloo Road (2023–2024), a tour guide in Ludwig (2024) and Dirty Damian in What It Feels Like for a Girl (2025).
