Biography

Adam Resnick is an American comedy writer, producer and director from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He began his career writing for Late Night with David Letterman in the 1980s.

Resnick co-created the Fox sitcom Get a Life (1990–1992) with Chris Elliott and wrote for Saturday Night Live. He wrote and served as co-executive producer on a season of the HBO series The Larry Sanders Show (1992). He also created and wrote the HBO series The High Life (1996) and has written for Divorce (2016).

In film, Resnick wrote the screenplay for and directed Cabin Boy (1994), and wrote the screenplays for Lucky Numbers (2000) and Death to Smoochy (2002). He is the author of the 2014 book Will Not Attend.
