Biography
Adam Woronowicz is a Polish character actor. Born in Białystok, he graduated from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw in 1997. He has performed in Warsaw theatres since the 1990s and is associated with TR Warszawa.
Woronowicz has appeared in more than 90 films since 1995. His notable screen roles include Jerzy Popiełuszko in Popieluszko: Freedom is Within Us (2009), the lead in The Christening (2010), supporting parts in Wałesa: Man of Hope (2013), Body (2015), Demon (2015), Breaking the Limits (2017), Cold War (2018) as Consul, How I Became a Gangster (2019), The Resistance Fighter (2019), All My Friends Are Dead (2020) as Inspector Kwaśniewski, and How I Fell in Love with a Gangster (2022). He has also appeared regularly in Polish television series such as Diagnosis (2017–2019) and The Office PL (2021–present).
He received seven Polish Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor nominations and won once for The Christening.
