Biography
Adele Comandini (29 April 1898 – 22 July 1987) was an American screenwriter. Born in New York City to Italian immigrant parents, she began her career in Hollywood in 1926 with the adaptation Subway Sadie and went on to write screenplays for more than twenty films and television episodes.
She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Story for Three Smart Girls (1936), on which she also wrote the screenplay. Her other credits include Beyond Tomorrow (1940), Strange Illusion (1945) and Christmas in Connecticut (1945). Comandini also wrote the 1956 biography Doctor Kate, Angel on Snowshoes and edited the 1936 book I Saw Them Die.
