Biography

Adolfo Cofiño is a Spanish production designer, art director and set decorator. Born in Madrid in 1931, he worked extensively in Spanish and international cinema from the 1960s onwards.

He is credited as production designer on The Spirit of the Beehive (1973) and Compañeros (1970), and as set decorator or in other art department roles on A Fistful of Dollars (1964), Assignment Terror (1970) and A Candle for the Devil (1973). He also served as construction coordinator on Conan the Barbarian (1982). Sources note that he designed sets for more than a hundred productions.
