Biography
Adolpho Veloso is a Brazilian cinematographer. Born in São Paulo on 31 May 1989, he studied film at the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado before working in advertising, music videos, short films and documentaries.
He gained international recognition for his work on the feature Jockey (2021) and the television series Becoming Elizabeth (2022). Veloso served as director of photography on Train Dreams (2025), directed by Clint Bentley, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography, becoming the first Brazilian nominated in the category. He has also received awards including the Critics' Choice Award and Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography.
