Biography
Adrian Younge is an American composer, arranger and music producer. Born on 7 May 1978 in Fontana, California, he grew up there and initially trained and worked as a lawyer, teaching entertainment law and spending time in the legal department at MTV before turning to music full time.
Younge is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who began with hip-hop production before focusing on analog recording techniques. He provided the score and also edited the blaxploitation film Black Dynamite (2009). He has since composed for numerous film and television projects, often collaborating with Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Their joint credits include the scores for the series Luke Cage (2016–2018) and Sugar (2024). Other television work includes All Rise (2019) and Cross (2024).
