Biography
Adrienne Posta is a British actress and singer. Born Adrienne Luanne Poster in Hampstead, London, in 1949, she began her career as a child performer and first appeared on screen in the 1957 film No Time for Tears. She adopted the professional name Posta in 1966 and featured in films including To Sir, with Love (1967) as Moira Joseph and Up the Junction (1968) as Rube.
Posta is also known for her roles as Scrubba in Up Pompeii (1971) and Norma Baxter in Carry On Behind (1975), and for voicing the Flight Announcer in the Red Dwarf episode 'Ouroboros' (1997). She recorded several singles in the 1960s and has worked as a teacher at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. She is an honorary patron of the Music Hall Guild of Great Britain and America.
