Biography
Adrienne Rush is a screenwriter. She holds an MFA in Screenwriting from the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts, graduating in 2014.
She wrote the teleplay for one episode of the Amazon series The Underground Railroad (2021), directed by Barry Jenkins. Earlier credits include the short film Survivors (2014) and the television film Cruel Instruction (2022). She also served as writers’ assistant on The Underground Railroad and as assistant to Destin Daniel Cretton on The Glass Castle (2017).
Rush’s screenplay This Land is Your Land! was selected for the Sundance Institute’s Emerging Screenwriters Lab. She won a Humanitas Award in 2016 for an hour-long drama written while at FSU.
