Biography
Ainsley Denzil Dubriel Harriott is an English chef, television presenter and actor. He trained at Westminster Kingsway College and began his career working in London restaurants before moving into television.
He is best known for presenting the BBC cooking shows Can't Cook, Won't Cook (1995–2000) and Ready Steady Cook (1994–2010). Harriott played the GELF Chief in the Red Dwarf episode "Emohawk: Polymorph II" (1993) and has made other acting and presenting appearances, including in Cory in the House (2007). He was appointed MBE in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to broadcasting and the culinary arts.
