Biography
Akiko Takeshita is a Japanese actress. She was born on 6 June 1959 in Tokyo.
Takeshita was a lead actress with the theatre company Yume no Yūminsha from its founding in 1980 until its dissolution in 1992. She is known for her film roles as Ms. Kawasaki in Lost in Translation (2003) and as the Japanese Tavern Boss Lady in Lust, Caution (2007). She was previously married to playwright and director Hideki Noda.
