Biography
Akio Satsukawa is a Japanese screenwriter and editor. He also works under the name 岡本悲八. He graduated from Waseda University and is a member of the Japan Writers Guild.
Satsukawa began his career in editing before moving into screenwriting. He contributed to multiple episodes of the television series Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995), often in collaboration with Hideaki Anno, as well as to related films including Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth (1997). His other credits include screenplays for Ultraman Tiga (1996), Love & Pop (1998) and series composition on Gilgamesh (2003–2004). He has also worked as an editor on Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water (1990).
