Biography
Akira Takamura (高村 彰) is a Japanese anime director and storyboard artist. He has worked primarily as an episode director on numerous television series since the early 1990s.
His credits include episode direction on Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995), The Irresponsible Captain Tylor (1993), Azuki-chan (1994–1995) and Ginga Sengoku Gun'yūden Rai (1994). Later work encompasses IRODUKU: The World in Colors (2018), Buddy Daddies (2023), Skip and Loafer (2023), Ya Boy Kongming! (2022) and The Day I Became a God (2020). He has also contributed storyboards to series such as Shirobako (2014) and Fairy Gone (2019).
