Biography
Akshara Sekar is a television writer and producer. She graduated from Saratoga High School in 2013 and attended the University of Southern California, where she majored in business and minored in screenwriting.
Sekar began her career as a production assistant and later assistant to Mindy Kaling on projects including The Mindy Project. She contributed as a writer and executive story editor to the Netflix series Never Have I Ever (2020–2023). She has also written for Velma (2023) and served as writer and producer on Running Point (2025). Additional credits include producer on the forthcoming series Brothers (2026).
